Term 1 Assembly
At our Term 1 Assembly, we officially welcomed our Year 7 students into the Kilbreda community. We also celebrated the outstanding achievements of our 2025 Scholars of Distinction and commissioned our 2026 Student Leaders.
In her address, Principal Stephanie Smyth reflected on our 2026 College theme, 鈥楯ustice 鈥� Making the Needs of the Vulnerable Paramount鈥�:
鈥淛ustice is lived when we choose not to walk past one another, when we adjust our pace, and when we use our strength – not to stand above others, but to stand beside them. This is how the flame is carried. Not by a few, but by all of us鈥� May we be brave enough to let our light shine and generous enough to protect the light we see in others.鈥�
Following the announcement of our Scholars of Distinction, 2025 College Dux Sarah shared a message with warmth, humour and honesty that resonated with students across every year level:
鈥淔eeling lost, confused or overwhelmed at the start doesn鈥檛 mean you鈥檙e incapable – it just means you鈥檙e learning.鈥�
